Rachel Stalker is the Clinical Legal Education Programme Leader in the School of Law at Liverpool John Moores University. She read Jurisprudence at Christ Church, Oxford, qualifying as a Solicitor in 2005. After seven years as a commercial litigator in private practice in Liverpool and Manchester, she joined LJMU in 2013 where she coordinates the School of Law’s pro bono activities, establishing the award-winning Legal Advice Centre (LAC) in April 2014. She is currently leading the incorporation of the LAC into the LLB Law curriculum and at postgraduate levels, and substantially expanding the LAC services to benefit the local community. Rachel is a Director of Liverpool Law Society, the Chair of its In-House Lawyers committee, and her research interests include place-based education, ethics and legal capability and empowerment.
